Reiki

Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing practice which literally translates to "universal life force energy. In a Reiki session, the practitioner works with the client's energetic bodies and chakras to facilitate a deep state of relaxation, balancing and energetic realignment for the client.

Great for reducing anxiety and stress. Reiki works to remove energetic blockages within the body. improving the energetic flow both around and within the patient. Working with the Chakras, or energy centers within the body. Reiki can prove to be an incredibly relaxing. healing and transformative addition to anyone's life.

Sound Bath Meditation

Experience the incredibly soothing and relaxing effects of a sound bath meditation using crystal singing bowls attuned to each of the 7 main chakras!

The intention behind this practice is to create a relaxing and meditative experience by using the power of sound waves alone to help ground, balance, and calm the practitioner.

Guided Meditations

Guided meditations may be aimed to address any topic the client wishes to work with and may range in length from a few minutes to an hour or more. Guided Meditations are also a great way to get started meditating as it enables the practitioner to just be present. focusing on their breath, and the words of the teacher guiding them.

Whether you'd like to work on alignment and mobility, explore new and different styles of asana, work on specific poses or practices, or just experience one of the class offerings in a one-on-one, or small group environment.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a relaxing. fully supported practice aimed at restoring the body's natural capacity for health. A Restorative practice is greatly focused on the Central Nervous System, guiding the body into the Parasympathetic Nervous System. While Yin seeks some sensation within the tissues of the body, in Restorative, we stop before the edge of sensation and use props to keep us supported and distanced from that edge.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa yoga is one of the most commonly seen and referred to styles of Yoga (asana) in todays society. Characterized by smooth transitions between poses which are linked to the breath, Vinyasa is all about dropping out of the mind and into the body, through breath and movement.

Vinyasa is also one of the most versatile styles of Asana, spanning everywhere from Power Yoga to Slow Flow, and thus is fully customizable to each and every practitioner regardless of perceived "athletic ability, "flexibility, or body type.

Yoga Nidra Meditation

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation which translates to "Yogic Sleep." During this practice, the client is guided into a deep state of relaxation by moving the attention and awareness inwards. Ultimately aimed at achieving a state of consciously unconscious, the client is guided to the brink of consciousness just near sleep, essentially letting the body rest while the mind remains awake. Yoga Nidra has been noted for its ability to relieve pain, tension, stress, and anxiety within the body, increase creativity and awareness, and perhaps most importantly: just 40 minutes of Yoga Nidra can be equivalent to 4 hours of REM sleep!

Mindfulness Meditations

Mindfulness Meditations are a great way to get into meditation, but even more importantly: they're a great way to start every day! The central concept of mindfulness meditation is bringing awareness to the state of your own mind, to slow down those racing thoughts, and to just truly be present in your everyday life. Mindfulness Meditation topics may range anywhere from Choosing Mindfulness to Dharma talks and even addressing the Permanence of Impermanence.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is much different from the "faster paced" Vinyasa style classes. During a Yin class, only a few poses are cued and are held for an extended period of time with supportive props. Yin Yoga is aimed at stretching the connective tissues within the body, as opposed to the muscles themselves. All postures are done on the floor and mainly targets the lumbar spine down through the knees.

Long, Slow, Deep (Hips)

Long, Slow, Deep is a set sequence of yoga asanas (poses) developed by Bryan Kest when he was injured and could no longer continue his Asana practice as normal.

In this class, you don’t leave the floor at all and almost all of your focus is on the lower body, from the hips down.

LSD is designed to open the muscles around the hip joint with the aim of maintaining some engagement in the muscles to increase muscular sensation.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release is a practice heavily centered around releasing tension and trigger points from the body's myofascial lines. The Fascia is a network of connective tissue that encapsulates and separates individual muscles and internal organs throughout the body. Myofascial Lines conform to repetitive movement and stress, but can also heal themselves through practice. Thus, MFR can be used to help open/stretch/deepen/lengthen the myofascial lines, as well as targeting Trigger Points. Myofascial Trigger Points (or muscle knots) are irritable spots within a tight skeletal muscle which cause local and/or referred pain when stimulated. Trigger Points are in a state of continuous muscle contraction, thus reducing blood flow and trapping metabolic waste which often results in a painful sensation.

Breathwork

The human body is full of wonders and miracles. Perhaps one of the most beneficial of these is the act of conscious, intentional breathing.

The mind needs the breath more than the breath needs the mind; our bodies continue to breathe unconsciously in order to keep us alive.

However, an unconscious, unintentional breath merely keeps us alive, while an intentional, conscious breath delivers life to us, our body, and mind.

The power of intentional breathing is beyond belief. Explore a multitude of different Breathwork (pranayama) practices through a private session to experience the many benefits of conscious breath!
